Sainte-cecile Cathedral Of Albi Reviews & Ratings
This town is worth to visit and spend one peaceful time. the cathedral is really big. there is river nearby. walking along the river is relaxing. the streets are quiet and clean. they preserved the old buildings
Breath taking. Beautiful. The inside of this cathedral is so well preserved. The ceilings and walls are still colorful and the paintings still clear. Very impressive. The cathedral is also home to very many relics. You can visit the treasury and the choir for a small fee. The rest of the cathedral is open to the public for free. There were no dress rules, but as always when entering a religious site, modesty is preferable. If you are in albi, do not miss this.
The most impressive church I have ever seen. Imposing, almost menacing from the outside, fully painted on the inside. The simple yet monumental architecture is what draws me most.
Its sheer size considering its brick/stone construction. Its history in the religious wars of France. But, subtle it ain't and by the standards of English cathedrals not much inside. If in the area go see but maybe not a destination if coming from a fair distance. That said there is nothing else like it
Amazing interior as well as the spectacular outside. Albi historical quarter is definitely worth a visit. Didn't get to the Toulouse Lectrec museum so hopefully see that next time.
