Also known as the White Mosque, AK mosque was built like an old praying place in the city of Tashkent. It took a lot of time for it to be built and come into existence – from 1838 to 1842. The place, despite being small, has a huge historical and cultural significance as it contributed to the manifestation of Quran’s teachings. As for the architecture, the place has walls painted in oil and the traditionally styled mihrab. There are verses in Arabian script scribbled through the walls, bathing the place with a unique sacred vibe. For historians and art lovers, there is no end to how much they can explore and gain from here. Muslim or not, coming here is like accepting spirituality in a beautiful way.
