I love taking people along the road here. Stunning views and amazingly scary as well. Well with a visit!
Beautiful place. Nice drive and walk down to the water. Fresh water for a cooling down when needed. Try to go when the sun will be overhead as it is quickly blocked out by the surrounding cliffs later in the summer days. Would definitely go again. Take a good picnic and wear swimming shoes. Kids will love it.
It is a gorge where the road has been carved out of the rock face for the most part. The road is so narrow that passing oncoming traffic is often not possible. In the afternoon, when it becomes busier with tourists, the traffic is regulated by traffic lights. There is a small river in the bottom of the gorge and other tourists are scrambling around there. It is nicer to drive through, preferably with an motorcycle.
Very scenic. Can do a wee trek if you climb down to the Hermitage from one curve on the road and continue through to exit at the next curve. The chapel attached to the Hermitage exudes a great sense of peace. Good site for meditation. Clear spring water in the grotto.
Great place for swimming and stunning views. Lots of good walking trails
