Mount Palomar Winery, Temecula Reviews - Write a Review
Went there for a tequila tasting session. this place is absolutely beautiful and was worth fighting through the horrendous traffic to get there . The tequila was very nice and i had the best margarita ever. Although pricey, the appetizers we ordered were phenomenal. Hummus and a cheese/plate that contained walnuts prosciutto and blackberries and some delectable sauces along with a small fresh loaf of bread. The view from the restaurant was amazing . The groupon was a great purchase for this one of a kind experience.
What an Amazing Place to have a wedding. Me and My Now wife, booked this venue back in February, and recently had our wedding there. As a destination wedding, we were planning and coordinating things from a distance, and was extremely relieved to have someone like Sandy, help us with every little detail the day of. She Was the best we could have asked for. From dealing with our families, and vendors, all while keeping us on a timeline for the whole night. If Mt Palomar Winery wants to keep hosting weddings as the best place around, They should definitely give Sandy a raise. She Deserves one. I would recommend this place to anyone Deciding on where to have their wedding.
This is a good winery. I never met Kevin who everyone has something to say about but I did experience an interaction with Shar. I believe she is also a manager. I had an issue with a bottle I got, and when I brought it back she was the Manger that had to deal with me. She not only replaced it but treated me with respect, and I was very pleased. This could have made me never come back, but she did the right thing to make sure a valued customer was satisfied. Beautiful location, amazing wine, and everyday I've been there someone is getting married. I've tried the restaurant and I got fast service and the cheese and meats plate was yumz! If they didn't get it right the first time give them another try. The management team stepped the game up. I'm now a chateau member!
The cave for tastings were a fun surprise. The staff was fun and awesome, but the wine lost the good rating for us. It was either REALLY dry or syrup sweet. Neither my husband nor myself could find a good happy medium wine.
I am writing this review solely because I've never experienced a rude manager like Kevin at this winery. After we were told to order our drinks at the bar, my mom goes up to the bar to do as she's told and the manager rather than kindly tell her they changed their minds, yells at my mother to get back to her table so her server can take her order. It was so embarrassing our server had to come over and apologize. The two female waitresses we had were so nice and accommodating, but if Kevin the manager is an indication of the way the owners would like their winery ran I will gladly spend my money elsewhere.
