A reservoir of the Central Arizona Project Water, the Tempe Town Lake was created in 1997. Arizona’s second most popular attraction, the lake with the length of about 2miles acts like a river dam to flush rainwater as well as snow. This lake is also an important water body providing for recreational activities as well as economic vitality (with the Tempe center for Arts, Town Lake Marina, Memorials, Volleyball courts, boat beach) along its shores. More than 40 events take place in Town Lake annually, namely, Ironman Arizona, Lights Boat Parade, State’s largest Independence Day Celebration, Fiesta Bowl, Oktoberfest, Fantasy of Lights, Tempe Music Festival, Aloha festival, Dragon Boat festival and so on. It’s a paradise for Fishing-enthusiasts with huge varieties of fishes stocked.
