Tudor Merchant House Reviews & Ratings

  • Really lovely historic house in the middle of Tenby. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Only small but well worth a visit.

  • One of the National Trust's smallest properties but for my money one of the best-presented. It comprises just three rooms on three floors plus a tiny herb garden but it vividly conveys what life was like for a wealthy merchant and his family in the 16th century. The room interpr√©ter on the top floor (bedroom) was a star turn, and the lady at reception was extremely helpful. Well worth a visit if you're anywhere near.

  • This is a great small house. The building is great and so full of history. The staff were helpful and very informative. The building is small but worth a visit. Would recommend a visit.

  • As described, a tudor building with the necessary items to take you back to those times of old, late 15 century! Full of information the guides know their subject well. With only one bedroom the family of up to 10 souls would have been a little cramped, but the merchant that lived here would have been classed as lucky and well-off and would have had servants, they would have slept on the downstairs floor. I was impressed!

  • Very Interesting. My father in law was part of the team who renevated it. They have a dressing up box for children and sometimes activities for them. I have visited it a few times and will visit again in the future.
