The Markin Glen Park covers an area of 160 acres and was formerly Morris Markin’s estate. The park on this day includes distinct and absolutely stunning natural features. From the very top of one of Kalamazoo’s highest points, hikers would be able to experience an idyllic view of downtown. Amenities at the park include swimming and fishing lakes, thirty-eight campsites, mountain bike trail, swimming beach, multi-use paved trail, playgrounds, picnic shelters, tennis court, volleyball court, softball field and more. The Markin Glen Park is home to an extensive and impressive array of spring flowers and also includes a beech maple forest.
