Along with the Binnenhof, Grote Kerk or Grote of Sint-Jacobskerk is one of the oldest buildings and the earliest Protestant churches in The Hague. The decor and style of architecture of the church is what brings tourists and locals to this historic landmark and the various events held within the church draw larger crowds. Although the church does not hold regular Sunday services, it still is a popular venue for exhibitions and special events. Christmas decor inside and around the church is something both locals and visitors look forward to. The church also happens to host a local whiskey festival that draws many revellers.
