Mauritshuis, The Hague Reviews - Write a Review
Not big, exactly big enough. The quality of the paintings is high, there are some incredible ones. All of paintings are from 1699 or earlier, but are not crowded by religious ones as in other galleries covering the same period. Worth visiting it.
The Girl with a Pearl Earring by Vermeer is superb. The most beautiful painting I've ever seen. Just great to see it in the flesh. That Vermeer was quite good!
Beautiful museum. Small and easy to navigate, but with some world-class works like Rembrandt's Anatomy Lesson and Vermeer's Girl With a Pearl Earring. Unmissable if you're in Den Haag
Look for the underground parking. Amazing art! The food in the Brasserie was quite good for lunch. A bit small but a really spectacular collection.
Always a recommendation! The girl with the pearl earring is but one of the very well known paintings. Don't forget the anatomy class or the goldfinch... Well worth the entry fee!
