Newcastle Memorial Walk, The Hill Reviews
Beatuiful walk and run track Views are spectacular on both sides Air is very refreshing You can hear whistles of air through the open section of the grating Spacious parking area is available Memorials of World War 1 written on the sides of the track Totally enjoyable
ugly structure blighting the landscape. The architecture is an unholy mix of fascist futurism and sterile generic modernism, with some tacky stencils to make it all even more vomit worthy. Bogans love it and it adds to their smug sense of dominion over Newcastle. Their ugly fat faces stare out blankly at a view of the ocean that can be seen from anywhere on the coastline even without the benefit of a steel platform designed by nature hating architects
I have a newfound respect and admiration for veterans all over the world. War is a heinous thing and the trauma and anguish we inflict on others, usually for political or commercial gain is unconscionable. Anyone who suffers the trauma and drama of war deserves to be remembered.
Be aware of theft from vehicles!!! Both of the vehicles we parked on the memorial walk car park were broken into by smashing the windows. Two handbags were stolen including some cash, keys and other personal belongings. Don’t leave the vehicles unattended even for few minutes!
Beautiful seaside with lovely walk way . Great place for family outings n exercise. The Memorial Walk provides a high overview of the surrounding areas
