About Aristotelous Square, Thessaloniki
Aristotelous Square is the central square and perhaps most important meeting place in Thessaloniki. This square by the looks of it might seem quite simple but there is always a lot of activity here that makes it a cultural center of sorts. It is named so after the famous Greek philosopher Aristotle who.
The most striking feature of this place is the sheer size. It is one of the biggest of its kind in Europe. The huge square is surrounded by beautiful buildings like the Electra Palace that make it a real treat to see. Moreover there are several bars and cafes around in which you can enjoy the hustle bustle and activity in the square. It looks especially brilliant when lit up at night.
Another amazing part of the square is that it is also sea-facing. The gentle waves and the salty sea-breeze only add to the waterfront experience. It is certainly a great place to hang out in and take in the sights and sounds of Thessaloniki.

Aristotelous Square, Thessaloniki Reviews - Write a Review
It is a must visit in Thessaloniki. There is a wide variety of cafe bar restaurants. Some of them are actually excellent. Great view of the sea. There are also many seasonal events that take place in Artistotelous Square throughout the year. Highly recommend it for anyone who visits the city and wants to go for a walk among the crowd or grab a coffee, beer or snack.
Very interesting place. I highly recommend visiting it. It has many coffee bars and many shops. It is a large open area where many interesting things happen. There are various artists in the summer, and in the winter there is a large platform for ice skating. It is close to waterfront and it is always crowded with people.
Interesting open plan square with historical significance. The square is near the waterfront and other significant historical sites, like the white tower and Alexander statue. From the square the major part of the downtown city can be accessed by walking up away from the water. The local free tour runs from here during the week nights (6.00pm) and should be taken by anyone excited to learn about thessaloniki's history.
Best place in thessaloniki, it has shopping and bars and cafes all together next to the sea, where you can spend a whole day. Really worth to visit!
Very nice square on the front surrounded on 3 sides by bars and restaurants, with a great view across to Mount Olympus. Worth taking a break from sightseeing and just enjoy the ambience.
