Before visiting Shaneshwarar temple you need to take bath in 'Nala theertham'. But the bathing ghat maintenance is very poor. Sorry, for the strong words that follow. It almost smells like drainage. The color of the water is green, because of abundantly grown algae. It is very unhygienic and unclean. It is a confined space with no inflow or outflow of water. My wife almost vomited while having mere 3 times dip in the water. The clothes with which we bathed have to be left behind and people leave it inside the water. You can feel clothes and mud once you get inside the water. Lot is desired from the temple authorities for maintaining the bathing area.
Wish to add more stars. A devine place to feel god
Bad maintenance looks disgusting to bath other than water all are good
Rooms are available, no problem for luckages food and etc. Everything is available.
The place is not well maintained and the water in the pond looks polluted. It is just believe among Hindu devotees that bathing here relieves hardship from planet Saturn influence in its 7 1/2 years transit.
