  • Good n fantastic place for a day out. First of all it is situated almost in the jungle. The woods and the reservoir of Neyyar Dam gives the amazing ambiance. All the staffs are friendly and cool. We can have elephant ride, some fun activities with elephant kids etc. Also there is an amazing cottage for daily basis rent ( 2000 per day, 12pm checkout ). Parking facility also available for free of cost. Please order food prior to the visit if you are planning to visit as a group.

  • Very good place. There is facilities for spending the night at affordable rates. Food also available. The morning service of the elephants, the elephants march, feeding of elephants all are a fell of new attractions. The place is situated little remote from the city and that gives a forest feel. Good place to stay overnight and has a good scenic beauty looks. The place attracts elephant lovers and foreign tourists also. Good experience to have a good understanding of the elephants and man relationship.

  • A great place where elephants are nurtured and protected. Infrastructural facilities are not remarkable but do serve the purpose. It was really a feast to my eyes watching elephants eat, walk, play and have fun. Entry fee is Rs.20/person. A park for children below 12 years is also constructed. Canteen is also available. Rafting and Trekking (not exactly Trekking) also made available here. Just few steps from the entrance you can also find a shop that sells spices, decorative pieces and elephant sculpture carved out of wood.

  • This is absolutely NOT a sanctuary. They chain the elephants, sometimes by two legs, isolate them, ride them, and put them out for show. If you have any compassion for these beautiful beings, you will not support this cruelty. These are incredibly social and intelligent animals that are made to essentially bathe, eat, and walk on command. This was one of the saddest things I have ever seen.

  • one of the must go places for people looking for a serene off grid time with the wild. kappukadu would welcome you lots warmth and pleasure of seeing elephants with their lovely and playful calves, close to their natural habitat. must go !!
