Madavoorpara Siva Temple - Review

The Mandavoorpara Siva Temple is home to the idol of Siva and is one of the places of religious importance in the city. The temple is carved out of rocks and the whole terrain is immersed in the natural beauty so intrinsic to Kerala.

A nearby bamboo bridge is loved for its rustic use and the whole place is perfect for a Photographer looking for some beautiful clicks. Pay your respects at the temple to later indulge in the beauty all around

Check the timing before you go! The place is really beautiful. The wind.. The view.. The scenic beauty.. Nature is blended with a little artificial touch. The timing as per the official met there is from evening 5.00pm.. N it is highly recommended that not to go there in the day time as the public and the caretaker of the place will look the visitors suspiciously.. They do have point in their suspicion still we go there to hangout and to get calm unpolluted air then why to get into trouble with the locals. There is the shiva temple and will be open at in the early morning 5.30am to 9.00am and evening 5pm to 7pm only. But almost all sites shows the time incorrectly. Hope this review is helpful.

  • Nice place for a family outing. No shops near by. So please carry eatables and water with you. Evening time good place for kids to play in the park, elders to sit on the rock and chat or take a stroll on the bamboo bridge, which leads you to a hill tip. Scenic beauty is what you would expect from a hill. If you are lucky nature might have some extra shots :) If you dare, you could even climb down and up and down again up again trip to the temple carved into the hill. Nice cardio :)

  • A nice place to spend your evening.. You can enjoy the beauty of the nature.. Good view in the evening and the morning.. Little adventure also is there.. it is good for the one time visit. There is a lifeguard available for help you and he will gave you all the information and the instructions about it.. Totally a nice place to visit.

  • Places like these tell us why exactly we need to have breaks in between our hectic schedules. Spending some time here makes you feel so refreshed and relaxed. And for the adventure savvy ones, there's this bamboo bridge. The way it's constructed is brilliant, and it might also give you a slight scare. The rock cut temple is also unique. Locations like these are so hard to come by in cities. There are plans for adding more features like rope way, boating etc. It would be a perfect spot for families to spend an entire day when these get installed

  • Good place for evening visit. Great view from the top. Gentle breeze make our mood more positive. Nearby Shiva temple, which is constructed inside a rock. It's hard for older people to climb the rock.

  • The place is extremely beautiful. The artificial bamboo path made to the top is really great. The huts here also provides shelter during rain. Great place to spend time with family and friends. Since there is a children's park near it, you can also bring children here. The temple here has a special aura near it.
