Priyadarshini Planetarium, Trivandrum Reviews
A good place to have small knowledge trip.. for all ages...simple science technics to robot s to space research..well exhibited and explained... NB you have to experience yourself...no staff or volunteers are provided for explaining the details of exhibits... The security personnel are very helpful in guiding us wherever to go....
Very basic ideas have been displayed...but exclusive physics exhibition, one of its kind,no other states have this,at least to my knowledge. A man with physics background,I would register my happiness! Kudos
The planetarium is world class. Stunning experience. Shows at10:30am 12 (english), 3 and 5pm. Each show is for less than 30min. There is a telescope for sky watching. 11inch celestron compound telescope offers excellent view when sky is clear. Saturn's rings and Jupiter's bands are visible with this telescope. Wonderful views of moons craters. Staff is supportive and ready to explain things patiently. Session starts at 6.30pm on Thursdays and Fridays. Ticket counter will be closed by 7pm The science and technology museum is not maintained well. Sleepy staff. Many exhibits are not working.
Good place spent time with family and friends. Planetarium is now equipped with new projection system. There is wide parking area and pleasing garden. A park for children, restaurant, restrooms etc are available. There is also a butterfly park within the compound.
This place is really wonderful for amateur enthusiasts as well as the public !! The facilities offered by S&T Museum is really helpful. Located at the heart of Capital city, every Thursday and Friday a night sky watching facility is also available for those who love the sky !!!
