  • This Buddhist temple is wisdom creation of our Kings. This is the place where we should see. Some researchers done research because they have doubts about the temple. They think this is somawathi temple.

  • One of the oldest Sthupa in Sri Lanka.

  • Remote Buddhist philgrim site. Still under renovation

  • The best place to go, while you drive through tricomalee area. Very close to Seruwawila mangala maha dagoba.

  • A good place to absorb the true beauty of Buddhist heritage. The monks at the place are maintaining the place with great hardships. It is a very king gesture if you are able to visit the place with basic day today needs. This isn't a must. You can visit the place free of charge. The historic Dagoba is still under construction (2017). The environment is dry but hopefully the wind will keep you cool. Meet with the monks if you go. There are quite a lot of things to be learnt from their hardships.
