Church Scherzligen is a beautiful thousand year old church by the lake in the city of Thun. The commendable interiors feature tapestries and paintings from the 13th and 16th century that hold national importance. The church emits immense spiritual power and has preserved the 9th century Carolingian tower, the Romanesque nave of the 10th century and the Gothic Choir from the latter 13th century. Painter Peter Von Bern gave the church an artistic look with his magnificent paintings.
