National Arts Gallery, Tirana Reviews
Interesting art from Albania's communist era, but little to no information in English. Would be 5 stars if the app worked or there was a little write of for the paintings. Has great potential and is worth a visit regardless.
What a gem! This is a wonderful museum with very interesting and beautiful work. No abstract paintings, just realistic paintings of the history of Albania. Some propaganda and some depictions of normal Albanian life. I did not know any of the artists, but they can surely measure with international painters from the same period 1880-1970. It was very quiet in the museum. The entrance does not look to be open and the doors have mirrors, not very welcoming. But behind the doors is an unexpected wealth of nice art pieces.
Was there for the Edi Hila exhibition. The cloud was still in front of the gallery. On the second floor there is an good collection art/propaganda from the communist era. Worth a visit.
Exhibition of Edi Hila wasnt bad. Albanian art isnt only composed of communist art. They have more than that but you cant see anytgh else in the gallery.
Great place filled with paintings. The grat thing is in there you can find the original painting of “MOTRA TONE “ painted by Kol Idromeno witch is stated as the albanian Mona Lisa
