Located at the foothills of the Kolli Hill, the Puliyancholai Falls is located around 75 kilometres away from Tiruchirappalli. The hike to the falls takes you through untouched natural terrains of pebbled streams and the famous Pithukkuli Cave and when you reach the plain on the top, you can find plantations of guava, fenugreek, garlic, paddy, maze, jack fruits, orange and tamarind.

The Puliyancholai Falls itself is considered to have medicinal properties since the water itself is one of the purest water sources in the region and many a times you can find locals come here only for a relaxing dip. There are a few snack shops, small restaurants, tea stalls and resorts around along with shops that sell locally made products. However, the view throughout the trek and the fall itself, are the highlight of the place. The forest that surrounds the stream has a small temple dedicated to Lord Shiva which is mostly visited in June and July. If you can, try to visit the place during monsoons to see it at its best!
