Venkateswara Temple is located in the hill town of Tirumala and has been dedicated to Sri Venkateswara who is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The Lord is said to have appeared here in order to save the mankind from the troubles and tribulations of the Kali Yuga. The temple is often known by a lot of other names including Tirupati Temple, Tirumala temple, Tirupati Balaji temple and much more. In terms of the wealth and donations received, the temple is said to be the richest one and is visited by approximately fifty thousand to one lakh pilgrims on a daily basis.
