Tokyo has four seasons each with their unique qualities. Since it gets stuffy in summer, it is the only season when it is not a great idea to visit Tokyo. Here is a rough guide:
Spring: March, April and May when the temperature spans from 5 degree Celsius to 21 degree Celsius are the best months to visit Tokyo. The weather is simply beautiful and the cherry blossoms make the whole of Japan glow like a blushing bride. However, the first week of May is a local holiday so it should be avoided as the crowds increase even more.
Summer: The summer months, June, July, August when the temperature spans from 18 degree Celsius to 29 degree Celsius are not ideal for tourists. While June is extremely rainy and wet, August is hot and humid while July escalates between the two.
Autumn: From September to November when the temperature spans from 26 degree Celsius to 15 degree Celsius is a lovely time to visit. The autumn leaves make the landscapes more prominent and beautiful. The weather is pleasant and there aren’t as many tourists as there would be in spring.
Winter: December, January, February when the temperature spans from 11 degree Celsius to 2 degree Celsius are not bad months to visit either. The weather will be undoubtedly cold so carry plenty of winter-wear but there aren’t too many tourists so it is a great time to explore the city.
