Blue Note, Tokyo Reviews

  • Such a beautiful, cool venue. Great vibe and atmosphere. We saw power of tower for their 50 anniversary show. Such a good experience. So happy that we added this to our itinerary even though we aren't big into jazz. Being in Tokyo and being with the people who love this kind of music was such a cool thing to do. The energy was amazing. Food and drinks were perfect.

  • From the moment you enter this establishment, the photos of great musicians adorn the walls (not sure if they have all played at blue note)... The feeling that you have stepped into a classy and sophisticated venue. Dress in your Sunday best and come for a good time, great food, service and drinks. I throughly enjoy the Eric Benet show and would recommend this venue to anybody who asks. Coat check is available, almost every seat is a great one... Fine lobby area... Bi-lingual staff... Clean bathrooms...Everything you would expect out of a jazz club... Also the people who patronize this establishment are just as fine and respectable but also know how to have a good time

  • Mainstream jazz acts here frequently. Food tasty and well presented. All seats have good views. Better seats subject to surcharge on arrival. Entrance stairway a little dimly lit.

  • A must visit for any jazz aficionado. This basement-style club is in Tokyo’s ritziest suburb. The staff were very accommodating the night my friends and I went, allowing us to sit at the bar, even though the gig was officially sold out. The pre-show bar is especially cool, grab a cocktail (expertly made) in there before the set. Drinks were not as expensive as I had expected, certainly less than the Blue Note in New York! So if a jazz great is in town, don’t hesitate, book a table and enjoy some live jazz!

  • A slickly presented club with quality performers, busy staff and good food makes this unique in the jazz club World. Note that when arriving at the club all patrons are held in the foyer and their seat numbers are called, rather like waiting for a plane departure. The club is in the basement of a building as are most clubs in Tokyo and the sound is fantastic. Quality PA systems are used and the resulting sounds are awesome.
