Nikon Museum, Tokyo Reviews
Nikon camera users and enthusiasts beware! You should pay a pilgrimage to this showcase and museum of the manufacturer. I spent a good hour and a half in this place, without other visitors, going through most of the exhibits. All previously market available cameras and lens are shown. I was able to find my first camera, a Nikon FM, there too. Do not miss the Nikon 100 orchestral music. Apart from the soothing music, you would understand better the background and history of this hundred years old company. Admission is free. Only 10 minutes walking distance away from the train station. There is also a free shuttle bus to Odiba on street level outside the train station.
Very nice museum for Nikon users and fans, the museum also present other Nikon developments not just cameras (mostly cameras though). You have changing galleries in the museum, a nice movie about 100 years of Nikon and you can try the D4 with different long zoom lenses (up to 1200-1700mm INSANE!). The museum itself is pretty small so I'd give it 1.5-2 hours if you go through everything.
For a free museum, this is an excellent stop. Lots to learn both about photography and the various industries that make use of advanced optical technology.
This is the must go museum for all the camera lovers. Amazing
Cool and ibtain mamy new knowledge about the company
