It is located on the premises of Sensoji Temple, connecting its main gate and the main hall. Even though it runs only for 250 meters, around a hundred shops line its sides. In the past, ‘Nakamise’ was the common name given to shopping streets on temple premises. So, you will find several other ‘Nakamise’, but this one in Tokyo is considered to be one of the oldest.
