Yoyogi Park, Tokyo Reviews

  • Very different part of tokyo. Filled with nature and a much slower vibe than the busy streets . The shrine is great and if you're lucky you might see a wedding procession! It's a great change of pace. The treasure museum has a nice area outside for picnics. If you're lucky on weekends you'll see buskers or even the greasers. Expect a lot of walking!

  • Nice park where the locals hangout with their kids or go biking or running. I don’t see it as a must see while visiting Tokyo as there’s nothing much to do there on a weekday. Might be nice to bring snacks for a picnic there before checking out the Meiji Shrine or Takeshita Street though.

  • This place is so lively. On morning you can attend yoga classes here. One of the best picnic spots in Tokyo. On weekend you can see a lot of pet dogs if you are a dog person. You wouldn't go back home with droopy shoulders after you come here.

  • very large area. one side has the Meiji shrine with very tall trees. other side hosts food festivals based on country. almost every weekend. middle part has a beautiful garden. if you love photography, its a must visit place during fall.

  • This is a peaceful park in the Harajuku area and near to the Meiji shrine. Takeshita Dirk street is also nearby so all these places can he visited in one day easily. The park is big and has a small fountain also. You may find many people running, exercising and playing some instruments on the weekend. If you have one week itinerary then this place should be visited but if hard pressed for hind this can be given a pass as it is similar to any public park in big cities. Nothing special.
