The Kirch Flat Campground is a huge, sandy area right on the edge of the picturesque Kings River which is surrounded by the stunning river canyon, the foothills that are covered in oaks and the magnificent mountain views of Sierra Nevada. The oak and the pine trees offer a good amount of shade in the camping area. The area is quite popular during the fall and the spring months where many fisherman, white-water enthusiasts and day users come to experience the challenging rapids and the striking scenery. If you would like to go camping while being in the vicinity of nature, Kirch Flat Campground would be an ideal option.

Kirch Flat Campground Reviews & Ratings
Quiet with no civilization with the river running in the background. Bathrooms were Stinky with no trash cans available outside next to the campground sites. #1-9
Wonderful place. A bit remote so it cuts down on some of the visitors. Even during the peak periods it can be very quiet during the week. One thing to keep in mind however is that this site is VERY POPULAR with rafters and can instantly go from one or two campers to a full campsite and remain that way for several days. My experience has been very good with them though and have more than once been offered a free raft trip when they had extra space. Overall one of my favorite car camping sites on the west side of the Sierras.
Good place to meet before River run and organizing the shuttle, and then the takeout at the end
Wonderful spot. No electricity, water, or cell reception, but free and beautiful. Be prepared for cattle wandering and grazing through the area and sometimes campground during certain times of year.
Love the quiteness and the veiws are perfect
