Stretching from Brahurst Street tp Avenue Road this student quarter neighborhood features upscale houses, a lot of immigrants, and intellectual pursuits. The Charming neighborhood has Victorian and Edwardian homes and buildings with lots of gardens and parks. It also features a particular type of architecture known as Torontonian that emerged in the late 19th century, known for its rounded Romanesque arches and Queen Anne style decorations with attics that can be prominently seen from outside.  The neighborhood is a hotbed of culture with many community events and venues that stay open until late in the night. But for the tourists it is mostly just a nice place to walk around.
