Hi-toronto Hostel, Toronto Reviews
Very good hostel in a prime location. Close to the Union train station and the Eaton shopping centre. Beds very comfortable, rooms and shower facilities very clean. Breakfast good. You have 5 options . Staff very helpful and efficient. Laundry services available and detergent can be purchased at reception. I went on the cavern pub crawl. nice place. Would definitely book here again if I was in the Toronto area!
Stayed for two nights and I have to say it was an excellent stay. The staff was kind and accomodating, the rooms were clean and cozy, each bed had a decent locker for protecting your valuables, and the downstairs bar is well priced and provides free breakfast for each day of your stay. The bar also provides live music and a space to meet other people staying the hostel. I met some interesting people and everyone was very friendly. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Excellent stay during Carribana. Staff were accommodating, breakfast is daily in the Cavern, food was good, room was clean, music in the Cavern was great! My only criticism is that there needs to be some updating: (heating, bath vanity, and carpeting throughout).
Not exactly spacious or cheap, but clean and well maintained. Staff are friendly. Suggest using one's meal ticket to get a wrap in the evening rather than saving it for the somewhat minimalist breakfast.
Convenient location within less than 5 minutes walk from King subway Station, opposite a historic church (forgot the name) and near St Lawrence Market. The hostel itself has a restaurant in the basement and a self service kitchen on ground floor where you can cook your own food (fridge is free to use as well). My only complaint is that 2 toilets and 1 shower room each floor is not enough considering each floor has 30-40 people. I'm editing my review as I forgot mentioning the built-in safe hanging over each bed. It's small but enough space for a laptop, a DSLR and some important documents. However, the position of the safe can be obstructive sometimes. I hit my head once, and my knees twice in my 3 nights here.
