Scaddabush, Toronto Reviews

  • This is one of my favorite italian places in the city. The pizza and pasta are both quite good. Personal favorites of mine include the butcher pizza and the spaghetti and meatball. I recommend getting the "naked mozzarella" to start, they make it fresh every day and we get this almost every time we go. It can be pretty loud/busy on Friday and Saturday nights so watch out for that.

  • The staff at Scaddabush always goes above and beyond! The food is always great, the atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable and the overall experience is fantastic! We always have to bring our two young kids, and have always felt welcome. It's also conveniently located across from the Chelsea hotel so we have different dining options when we stay downtown. The later you go however, the higher the chance of a lineup. So go earlier to avoid waiting for a table.

  • Extraordinarily bad food. Gummy pasta, reheated in the microwave and not freshly cooked. Don't be fooled by the very friendly wait staff who are good at upselling. The homemade mozzarella cheese was supposed to be warm and gooey. It was barely not cold and like a rubber ball. Desserts were terrible. Pizza was weird and bad. Nothing is fresh at this place. Expensive tourist trap. Nice ambience but never to return.

  • Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I travel a lot for work, so getting a good bar tender who knows their craft is always welcome after a long day! Eclectic style inside, they offer the bar and seating downstairs amd then upstairs which seemed a bit quieter. Highly recommended for groups, or if you're just dropping in for a drink!

  • Very friendly waiter, the food selection was good, as was the alcohol selection. The quality of the food was great as well, and the ambiance made it a great experience. The bar looked clean; a great place to enjoy a sporting event or go out with friends.
