The Hogtown Vegan, Toronto Reviews
Tried 5 different things with my friends and everything was very delicious. Went with two other friends who are not vegetarian and they enjoyed it just as much. I had the buffalo "chicken" wrap and it was just the best. The mac and cheese was also really good and we also tried desserts. Service was fast and good. Can't wait to go back.
Hogtown is a cute vegan restaurant serving a great selection of comfort foods. I ate dinner at the College Street location twice and tried the tortilla and grilled tofu salads. Both were delicious! The menu had lots of gluten-free options as well. The interior of the restaurant was cute and comfortable and had a relaxed, casual atmosphere. They had an outdoor patio as well.
I liked the burger, fries and "chicken" pieces. I think the chicken is made of tofu. the fries were actually really good. But I was not a fan of the macaroni and cheese at all, only because I'm not vegan and I can really tell the difference between normal cheese and dairy free cheese. The apple pie was amazing, even though the ice cream was dairy free that tasted a lot better than the cheese. I've heard the chicken and waffles is really good too.
Very good experience. Very nice atmosphere. Very nice staff. Amazing food. Everything was fresh and super tasty. Everything was largely satisfying.
Visited this restaurant with my family on the Victoria Day weekend and it was buzzing with business. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was quite chill. We had the not-chicken and waffles, southern plate and the not-chicken burger. These were all good and enjoyable. However, the not-chicken burger could've used a little more spiciness according to my brother, they could conceal the area where they discard of food a little better as some people may find that a little distasteful and we had to ask for water rather than them offering it to us before ordering. Overall, great place to chill with friends or family and have southern vegan comfort food.
