Cross Timbers State Park Reviews & Ratings

  • Beautiful tree grove camping. Great trails to wall. World's oldest tree. Good swimming. Lots of activities. Great lake. Great people. Would recommend... As long as you dont take my camping spot.

  • We have had such a wet spring that everything is flooded and we are still having a great time! Our cabin is awesome! For the price of a nice tent we have a bed, a pull out bed, and two futons. Plus a full kitchen, a fire pit and grill, they supplied fire wood and incidentals, and it's just awesome overall. And it's air conditioning. After being out in the sun it feels amazing. I grew up camping and never knew there were cabins. I think I'm happy to camp less often and splurge on the cabin!

  • We actually camped south of the lake on July Fourth weekend a few years ago and we were practically the only ones there. It was super clean and quite, and we got a nice spot in the trees where we could see out onto the lake. There was one other family in a pop up camper a ways down from us set up right on the water. I was really amazed with the place considering it was a holiday weekend, and I'd love to go back and camp on the north side where it seems there are more amenities. If you're looking for camping in Kansas I'd suggest giving some serious thought to Toronto Lake.

  • Amazing hidden gem. Even with massive flooding, the folks that care for the campground are hard at work cleaning up the debris. Tons of campsites with every combination of hookups. Absolutely beautiful lake and and campground. Many options on showers, laundry mat. Would go back and stay longer. Great rates too

  • Secluded. The absolute best place in the area for tent camping. Awesome views.
