This is more of a hidden gem of the stone in spite of being located in an important destination. It was once a military base during the mid 20th century and this is still evident from the guns that you will see displayed around the park. The park was publicly opened in 2007.
The main features of the park that you can look out for are:
- The high tower that symbolizes the fortifications of the past.
- The children’s attraction area with a variety of adventure rides.
- The garden where they have conserved a variety of exotic species of trees.
- The artificial lake where you can go boating.
- The ‘dummy tree’ is a children’s favorite where they can leave their own dummies hanging.
- There are also benches, roofed picnic areas, fountains.
- Free parking is abundantly available outside the park.
- Chiringuito La Cepa Playa

Beautiful park with a large boating lake and lovely pathways to walk around. There is a viewing tower where you can see the seafront of La Carhueila, a fantastic children's playground and in the summer a fairground carousel is on operation. There are several keep fit machines at various points, and a running track. Wonderful trees from around the world, fountains and gazebos. No animals allowed. There is also a car park.
It's a lovely park, well maintained, with nice play equipment. Children's toilets near playground. Lots of free parking. Gets too hot to use in the summer, but lovely in October. My only complaint is that there's no cafe, only vending machines.
Stunning place, so glad we made the decision to visit. Gardens were immaculately maintained, the Lake and Fountain ⛲ looked beautiful. Panoramic views of the coast were unexpected but very welcomed. Children's play area made me wish I was a child again, the dummy tree was very quirky!
Beautiful urban park, spotlessly clean, lovely environment. Public toilets pretty much the cleanest/ nicest we've ever had to visit. Kids play facilities were brilliant (although considering the weather, surprised how much metal was used - hot, hot!) There was also a really nice carousel and booting lake. To top it all off, the views were just amazing (and the breeze at that height was hugely appreciated considering how warm the day was!) not a single thing wrong with this place, just lovely.
A lovely little park with some beautiful trees, a play area for kids, gorgeous fountains, a boating lake, albeit small, exercise machines, a bicycle lane and a superb view over the sea. It is well kept and always clean, no dogs are allowed in.
