This commune east of Toulon has some pretty awesome beaches to its name. Summer is the best time to visit – kayaking, fishing and people watching here thrives at that time. There are four main beaches:

• Miramar Beach: To get to Miramar Beach, you have to cross a pretty port stuffed to the gills with restaurants; at the end of the port is the beach. It’s not shaded, which can be a turn-off in the summer. The La Voile Plage Club has a nice vibe. It stays open till late in the evening.
• Tamaris Beach: Narrower and more crowded than Miramar Beach, which lies to the west.
• Argentiere Beach: Further east of Tamaris Beach, long and narrow and fully open to the public. Very busy in the summer.
• Pellegrin Beach: Quiet and unsupervised.

There is also an ornithological and botanical garden here.

• Walk or call a taxi.

• Restaurants along the beaches.
