One of the most elite houses in Toulouse built for the super rich aristocrats, the Hotel d'Assezat was built around the mid 16th century. The house accommodates the Fondation Georges Bemberg that has a fine collection of rare paintings, sculptures and furniture that dates back to the 1500’s. For architecture lovers, a walk around the courtyard is just as rewarding and is one of the ‘musts’ when you visit Toulouse.

The five stars are for the Bonnard room, the last one in the museum and worth the entrance fee alone in my opinion - a truly exceptional collection of this artist's words. Before that there's a wide ranging collection with decent examples of renaissance art on the lower floor. Things come to life on the upper floor with an interesting collection on modernist paintings.
We had an hour well spent here. With student discount, it was only 5€ and offered a varied style of art.
This is a very interesting art museum ehich includes renaissance to modern art works. Though it focuses mainly on painting, there are also a few sculptures and even furniture on display. At the moment part of the 1st floor exhibition is closed for restoration but still the museum is worth the visit. The entrance fee is currently 5€.
Nice architecture. Not included in the free Sunday deal though. Quite dissapointed
One of the most beautiful place in Toulouse, I'm enjoying every time visited!! a lot of amazing memory ❤❤❤
