Lakeport State Park Reviews & Ratings

  • This is a nice park. The north bathrooms are standard state park bathrooms and are kept clean. The beach is rocky, so bring your water shoes if you plan to swim. There is a nice camp store with food, toys, gear, chairs, and firewood. Most sites on the north side are full sun, but there are a few shaded ones on the edges. The north side is excellent for camping with a group of people if you book your sites together. The south side is all shaded and more private. I haven't used the bathhouse on that side yet. Enjoy!

  • Very nice park camp ground. We stayed in the over flow section. Nice, large campsites with plenty of room. The sites in the main section of the campground are a little smaller, but that section has direct beach access and the little campground store. A definite YES recommendation. Being this is a state park, you can make reservations up to 6 months in advance and is recommended. The weekends are booked solid in the summer months. Enjoy!

  • Beautiful green park. Large spaces with lots of shade. Nice bathrooms and showers. Beautiful Lake Huron... What can else needs to be said? Yes, the beach is rocky so wear water shoes and collect some rocks. The folks in the little camp store are also nice and have soft serve ice cream!

  • Beautiful location. Wish there were better views of the water. Also it would be nice if they had a dog beach area. Nice camp store. Clean facility.

  • Clean park with just the right touch of nature. The bathrooms and showers are clean and well maintained. Nice beach area. Well stocked park store includes soft serve ice cream. Very friendly staff.
