The Royal Australian Air Force Townsville Museum is dedicated to document the military history of North Queensland. The museum has a vast number of collections situated in the historical buildings at RAAF base. The museum has won the North Queensland Tourism award and also a number of other awards. The museum displays an insight into the North Queensland history from World War II to present. The museum contains artifacts that have been purchased from the key benefactors of Royal Australian Air Force. The museum is open from 9am to mid-day on all days except Sunday, on which it is open from 10am to 4pm.
