Tralee is characterized by a typical Irish maritime temperate climate with very few temperature variations throughout the year and very high annual precipitation levels. The average annual temperature is around 10 degree Celsius.
High Rainfall: Months of September to March have precipitation levels well above 100 mm on an average. Temperatures are quite cool with the mercury ranging from 13 degree Celsius to 7 degree Celsius. This period is mostly spread over the winter time. These months are considered to be off season for tourism
Low Rainfall: Tralee doesn’t have a single dry month, but the amount of rainfall received from April to August is very less compared to rest of the year. Most of this is in the summer season where temperatures are usually around 14 degree Celsius.
The low rainfall months of May to July are generally considered to be the best time to visit Tralee. The weather is also pleasant during the day and one doesn’t have to worry about sudden and unexpected showers all the time.
