In early 1900, some group of farmers came to Trenton in their respective horses in order to sell their produce. They travelled all over the state and country in a buggy. In early 1939, this group of farmers came in close association to form Trenton Farmers Market. In June 1948, this famous market was finally opened on Spruce Street. At present, the market deals with selling several fruits and fresh vegetables and has become number one in the wholesale market for fruits and vegetables. Trenton Farmers Market is a great place for tourists to visit as you will get to see a wide variety of different fruits and vegetables and can purchase any of these at a cheaper price than any departmental store.
