The Cave of Basovizza, declared a national monument in 1992, is the symbol of all the atrocities committed at the end of World War II and subsequent years by militias and supporters of the Communist dictator Tito. It now serves as a memorial to all the innocents that were killed in that inhumane incident and is frequented by people across generations and nationalities.
