  • I love the park. Great for river fun. If you take the trail to the right instead of going to the left where the lifeguard stand is it takes you up to the end of the park. I love floating up there then down when I'm ready to leave.

  • Beautiful place. We rented a covered area and the grounds were well kept. The bathrooms were atrocious with feces everywhere. This would be 5 stars but the bathrooms- yeesh. But this is a wonderful area that's easily accessible. I love visiting.

  • First time I've been down there for years I used to be at the "RIV" as me and my friends called the sandy all the time in the eighties and nineties. Still the same park, beautiful and serene. And now it has a snack/ ice cream hut with covered outside dining. SWEET!

  • We catered an event at the Cox building and were pleasantly surprised that it had a full kitchen! A very roomy one at that, and all the facilities necessary to make our job nice and easy. A spacious gathering hall with a stage, and tables and chairs for 100+ guests.

  • Great place to cool off, but please respect the river. It is very deceiving, current is faster than it looks and has some pretty deep spots by the bridge. No dogs allowed during the summer.
