Gates Pass, Tucson Reviews
#1place in Tucson for watching sunsets and believe me, they're off the hook gorgeous. It is also home to the sentinels of the desert. My husband and I often take sunset picnic hikes to celebrate birthdays and to toast wedding anniversaries.
Great place to catch a beautiful southern Arizona sunset. Easy parking and plenty of secluded spots to enjoy the view in peace. Historic Gates Pass is the link from downtown to Old Tucson, Saguaro National Park, and the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. Also on the way to Gates Pass is the International Wildlife Museum. Enjoy!
The view from the big turnout on Gates Pass Road is just eye-popping. Our only complaint was that it was just filthy. People throwing trash on the ground at a place like this is just an outrage. There was one trashcan that was overflowing. The bathroom was also filthy. But the hike and the view were worth it!
Beautiful view of the city at night, and a good place to take interesting photos during the day.
Love the view! Good place to get away, easy to get there
