  • While in Tucson you must drive over Gates Pass. This is a winding road through some of the most beautiful mountains available, right in town. the mountains are filled with tall majestic saguaro cactus thick as thieves in most areas. you wind up a short mountain road to a parking area suitable for sunset watching, hiking or just adventuring around in the desert. Depending on which way you drive in you will climb a very sharp mountain road up a very step hill. pucker factor 7 the first time. The road is connected to Saguaro National Monument which is a must as well. Definitely a ride for motorcycle enthusiast which is a 4 on the Butler maps.
