Coba Pyramid, Tulum Reviews
What a climb!! It's a bit of a walk to the pyramid or you can hire a bike taxi or rent a bike. Lots of cool ruins along the way. The climb is steep and uneven. Very slippery. I recommend using the rope to assist going up and down. The view is amazing at the top. Wear runners and sunscreen and bring water. You can go with a tour to learn the history or just go on your own to take in the sites.
Well worth a visit, best done in sensible shoes. Going up is easy however coming down is somewhat slower. The views from the top are well worth the climb. Our guide was very informative and it was interesting to learn about the myan history.
On August 14 my wife and I were the first 2 people to the top is the pyramid. Left tulum at 7 15 got there at 7 55 got bike at made it to the around 8 15. Perfectly epic day
We got a tour through the ruins and it was great! Seeing the pyramid was awesome. You can climb it to the top and look out over the trees which is really cool. It was quite crowded, however. There is a lot of walking involved so make sure to wear good shoes. If you are able to climb the pyramid, I highly recommend it. That is the best part of this place. It can be a bit scary though as there is no real stairs and is literally a climb!
AMAZING. The best way to do this is to rent a bike and just bike around the whole site that is filled with trees. You won't be able to do everything on foot and seeing all the people biking will definitely make you want to do the same, especially since you're surrounded by greenery. What's super cool about this place is that you can actually climb up the pyramid (which is rare). Another cool point is that it has a more parc-like feel to it since it's in a forest and you won't have so many people visiting there. It is true that compared to Chichen Itza, it is more of a fun experience as you get to be active on site (and there is none of the boutique-like stands all over the place!! ).
