  • This is the restaurant you wished you’d opened in Tulum. Despite the deceptive simplicity of the kitchen setup, the food delivered is beautiful, fresh, forward thinking and comforting at the same time. The fish and seafood dishes brilliant. The bar delivers a cocktail list championing Mexican ingredients using fresh juices made onsite every day. Above all else, go for the atmosphere. The staff are fun, there’s great music playing and you’re eating world class food outdoors in Mexico. Smile, you’re on holiday.

  • This outdoor restaurant was rocking and awesome. Great cocktails, service and food. It is on the busy part of the Tulum strip. Mostly candles and the food is all cooked over house made wood coals. We had a Jicama Salad and a Smoked Fish and Hard Boiled Eggs Salad. Then we had amazing Smoked Pork Chops and a Whole Roasted Fish stuffed with Greens and Things. The dessert was really good too. We will definitely come back here.

  • Made reservations in advance and scored a nice table near the kitchen at Hartwood. The staff at the entrance as well as our server were super friendly and knowledgeable. The food was great and certainly better than other restaurants that we visited. However, the experience wasn't the best as we felt rushed the entire time to hurry up, eat and get out to clear up a table for another patron. They take the entire order up front and within 15 minutes it seemed you are eating your entrees. As soon as the entrees are done, desert and they must be already prepared because they show up right away. Then 3 different people stopped at our table asking if we needed anything else which really killed the dinner for us. It's too bad because the food was great. We will be trying other restaurants when we are back in December.

  • Definitely the best meal I had in Tulum. A nice selection of daily fish catches with bonito, grouper, snook, and snapper all available during our visit. Appetizer of smoked fish in burnt chili oil with a sweet and sticky tomatillo jam was really nice. Some great sides (smoked eggplant with peanut mole, roasted beet with cilantro cream, sweet potato with candied nuts). One of our group had the skirt steak which he though was excellent. The only downside to me is a lack of fans leading to too many flies and mosquitoes as well as heat. Cash only, and while expensive I though fair price for the quality of dishes.

  • Ricissimo. The food here is amazing. I was impressed by the service, catering to us as we arrived just before closing time and very hungry. The music was good and it felt very cozy, and the servers were extremely professional and helpful. Highly recommend this restaurant!
