Salina Turda is a famous Salt mine in Romania, frequented by the Romanians as well as tourists. The mine was opened to the public in 1992 and since then have seen millions of visitors. The mine itself is comprised of many interesting attractions, a few of which include the losif mine or the echo room, the crivac room, the terezia mine, the rudolf mine, and the gizela mine. All the rooms of the mine are impressively large and capable of leaving everyone awestruck. The access tunnels are also wide enough for visitors to conveniently traverse from one room to another. As quoted by Business Insider, this salt mine is one of the ten ‘coolest underground places in the world’ and was also one of the ‘25 hidden gems around the world that are worth the trek’.
