New York Renaissance Faire Reviews & Ratings
Great programming for shows and events. There are a lot of games and rides for kids. There are a decent variety of shops to browse through, though it seems like half of them are for costumes. The falconry show was great with the birds flying just above your head. I didn't feel fully immersed in Renaissance time like at other fairs, but I can't pinpoint why. Overall a great time.
First time ever. It was a great experience. The ambiance that the staff creates it definitely worth it. The food not so great, the fish and chips was not what i expected. But overall great staff, clean bathrooms. Best shows. The magic show with Jeffrey Jene and The Lynx Show were amazing. Jousting was also great. We also adopted a baby dragon.
We love going to the NY Renaissance Faire every year! Preferred parking gives you a close spot for $15, otherwise you have to do a little hike from the free parking. Tickets are reasonably priced, especially if you buy them early before the opening weekend. The shows are fantastic! There is a little something for everyone in the family regardless of age. Always be sure to bring cash with you to the shows to tip the artists for their performance. Pricing is admittedly a little high for everything and be sure to bring cash. Every game, food item or drink item needs to be purchased with cash, while majority of the store fronts accept cash or credit. Each store is an individual vendor so there is a good variety of items from jewlery, clothing, handmade toys, weaponry, pottery and more. The goods tend to be marked up in price, but almost all the goods are hand made by the vendors themselves so you are paying for unique, good quality, hand made pieces which makes up for the cost and most of the pieces I have purchased actually have warranties which is fantastic. It is a great day out with your family! Highly recommend!
First time visiting and had a great time. Lots to see and do. Very fun time overall. Only con worth mentioning is the food and shop prices. They're expensive, so plan to spend a bit of cash, but otherwise it's a fun, family friendly day out.
I love the Renaissance Faire! It's such a fun way to spend the day with a ton of shows, vendors, and different foods to try! I highly recommend the Acrobatrix show and the joust. If you're a meat eater, definitely grab a turkey leg for lunch! I'm taking off one star due to the increased prices of late! It's my understanding that there's a new owner who increased them substantially. The entry prices has almost doubled and prices of alcohol have followed. I used to come a few times a year but that probably won't happen anymore.
