  • If 4 of us (adults) had only one day on Tybee Island, what would you recommend/suggest we see? Coming in early April.

    • You can visit the Tybee Island Light Station And Museum for an hour or so. North Beach will keep you engaged for some time as well. Fort Screven is also located a stone's throw away from here and can be explored to enjoy the views. Before the evening, head off to Tybee Beach Pier to spend some relaxing time. You can also visit the nearby Tybee Island Marine Science Center. Many people prefer to go to Fort Pulaski, but it may take more time to reach.

  • Best day to visit the island? Is there a good area to snorkel? Is there snorkel equipment to rent? Are wave runners available to rent? Can you give me a few great restaurants that may be overlooked by tourists? Thanks.

    • If you want to avoid touristy crowd, then I would suggest visiting Tybee Island during weekdays. But when it comes to snorkeling, the water here is not exactly clear and suitable. You will have to check if there are any snorkeling tours that take you away from the city and such tours also provide necessary equipment on rent.

You can consider going to Bubba Gumbo's Seafood Restaurant, Gerald's Pig & Shrimp, or Salt Island Fish & Beer.
