The Tyssedal Hydroelectric Power station and Museum is a reminder of how hydropower and industrialisation changed the face of Norway in the 20th century. The museum exhibits the pictures from early 1900s and describes how industrialisation revamped the country. In particular, the works of Knud Knudsen are highly regarded here. The importance of hydropower for Norway has been illustrated through photographs of the river Opo and the various waterfalls that provide means of water supply, fishing, power generation and transport. Don’t miss the guided tour of the museum that takes you through the control room of the power station.
