Jag Mandir - Review
The Mewar Kingdom of Rajasthan has left Udaipur an enormous legacy of unforgettable and irreplaceable monuments. The Jag Mandir is one of them.
Each of the Udaipur Palaces has a very distinct identity and this one especially is prominent precisely due to its individuality. The three story structure includes several “mahals”, a beautiful courtyard and garden as well as a stunning main facade. The striking carvings in the shape of elephants give the palace a unique identity hand have been its most attractive facet for visitors. The garden is nicely maintained and well landscaped with several indeginous as well as foreign flowering plants.
The architecture is definitely worth the trip and since the Jag Mandir is on an island on Pichola Lake, it will also be a fun excursion to undertake. Do explore all parts of this castle as there are quite a few to enjoy. There is also a museum on the premises if you want to know more about the history of this magnificent place. The entry to Jag Mandir is free; however, there are charges for boat rides.

Jag Mandir, Udaipur Reviews
Loved the place. Need to take a boat ride to reach the place. My experience is in an exclusive corporate ecent and the entire place was for us for the entire evening.ambience and hospitality bowls you over. Dont know if this is available only in banquet form or for individual bookings. They obviously charge you a bomb for all the hospitality and exclusivity. Still worth the experience for those who can afford it.
This is fine dining restaurant in lake. Good food and also awesome view. First reserve table on telephone than go to city palace and book it by pay Rs. 3200 and then park your car. After that reached by boat like a king...hahaha
It is a good place and well maintained but my concern is about transportation management the boats aren't the best way the corporation should add another way or even if they can't they should upgrade the boat facatalies that is think is too poor ,other then this concern the place was good and my experiences too. I just request everyone to maintain cleanliness their . Most important thing to remember beware of taxi drivers they are Scammers if you are an outsider check Google maps first else take the help of a local man there.
Beautiful. Royal. Grand. What more can I say. So, once you have reached the entrance of the City palace, you will need a ticket to enter the palace, similarly, here itself they give away tickets for the boat ride at Lake pichola. Now, if you go in the afternoon time it costs ₹450 and in the evening it costs ₹830 for obvious reasons. The ticket counter will just take ₹30 for the entrance in the palace if you are specifically going for boating. Then you have walk down for about 15 minutes to reach the boat station, this is the place where you have to pay the actual amount which in my case was ₹800. Once you get in, your boat ride beings and trust me it is just beautiful. Then they head towards Jag Mandir Palace. This is our halt, it's a beautifully designed place. There are sitting areas by the lake, there is a coffee shop, if you wish to have some, you can sit there, relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Then another boat comes in and takes you back to the boat station. Worth a try.
What a majestic palace com hotel! Right in the lake! Enjoyed coffee here and also a tour around.
