Monsoon Palace - Review
Monsoon Palace of the Sajjangargh palace is one of Udaipur’s prettiest palaces. Situated on a hill this small palace painted white is a beautiful addition to your Palace your of Udaipur. It is currently under the jurisdiction of the forest department.
The Aravalli hills in the background and a beautiful view in front, a view from atop the palace is worth a million bucks. The road leading up to it is also very picturesque especially if you are walking up. The interiors of the palace have been features in a lot of popular culture mediums like movies and TV shows which have made them quite iconic. Most notably, a James Bond Movie was shot in this palace along with other locations in Udaipur. There are a few interesting objects on display inside the castle, most notably a stuffed leopard skin from the hunting days of the royals. Monsoon Palace, Udaipur Reviews
Ultimate place to go and see the view of the entire city. Awesome view from the top. Nature at it's best. The flowers, the lake view from the top all of them were very nice. It's just the weather has to be very nice. When we reached there it was already raining. So we enjoyed every bit of it.
Beautiful place on the top of hill.nice view of lack city from here. Palace is not that great but the location is amazing. As the name suggests the best season to visit here is monsoon when the place is all green & covered with fog/ mist. You can also enjoy jungle safari
It's nice to get up the mountain and enjoy the view. The structure is being renovated, so some parts might be closed. There is some information inside about the animals roaming the area which was interesting. Be informed that you are supposed to buy an entry ticket, as well as buy a "mandatory" jeep ticket to get up (90 Rupees).
The place does the complete justice to its name. Best time to visit is mid august also if you are having your own vehicle. The road towards the palace are curvy mountain roads. Charges differ for 2 wheelers/4 wheelers. The view from palace is breathtaking, serene, for once you will be in the awe of lush greenery around the palace and the breeze which continues to whistle around your ears, when you go near the edge of the palace, it is really amazing. For moment you will feel that you at a hill station. There is also a Cafe there at the palace.
You will enjoy the road more than the palace. The view from the palace is worth the time spent. Beware of monkeys as they might snatch food from you. Also, the best time to visit the place is monsoon as you can feel the clouds all around you during that time. You should also visit the zoo to spend some good time with your loved one on walk, only if it is not too hot there.
