About Harsidhdhi Temple, Ujjain
The Harsidhhi Temple at Ujjain is one of the most revered temples of the Goddess Durga and an ancient Hindu belief is that this temple is home to the Goddess in a form which inspired the famous Indian poet, Kalidasa. The tall roof of the temple lights up at night and presents a beautiful twinkling exterior of the temple. Inside the temple, the idol of Goddess Durga invokes faith and devotion in all believers. The idols of Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswati flank the idol of Annapurna as she sits in a dark vermilion colour. The ceiling contains inscriptions of sanskrit shlokas and the temple also has a Shriyantram, considered in Hindu mythology as a symbol of power.

One of the famous Shakthipeeth in India. Wonderful maintenance, sans commercial priests and divine looking matha makes it a must visit place for the people who are in or planning to visit Ujjain. Overall a must visit place.

This is a centre place for doing all rituals from the first day after a person's funeral till the 13th day. It has got many sacred ghats on the bank of river Kshipra which now also contains the waters of Narmada river added to it.
Very good temple with a historic touch. Also has an akhand jyoti which is on since time of vikramadirya
